So Far and Yet So Near…

Posted by Cece On February - 17 - 2009

I love technology.  If my dad had let me touch his computer when I was younger, I might have had a different career today!  Anyways, one of the reasons that I enjoy it so much is because I get to see people who are far away…specifically my nieces.  It’s great because if you have ever tried to talk to a 3 or 5 year old on the phone you know that it is no easy task, so the video chat makes it much more enjoyable.  Here are a few screen shots I took from recent chats. (You can see me in the lower left corner!)

Karalyn’s Birthday @ K1Speed

Posted by Cece On February - 10 - 2009

Karalyn, Melissa, Lorena, Jenny, and went to K1Speed for indoor go-cart racing to celebrate Karalyn’s birthday.  It was a ton of fun!  Here are the pix and 1 video of what it was like.  I came in dead last both times.  Melissa won the first race and Karalyn won the 2nd.   (Click on the picture to see larger, right click to download)  Sorry…my camera sucks!

Gospel Brunch

Posted by Cece On February - 7 - 2009

So Mark had an extra ticket to the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues in Anaheim. It was so much fun and the food was great.  I had chicken jambalaya, hickory bacon, tortelinni, caesar salad, barbecue chicken.  Anyhow…you should go.  Here are some photos.

PBR Sacramento 2009

Posted by Cece On February - 6 - 2009

I rode up to Sacramento with Melissa, Jenny, and Karalyn for the PBR a couple of weeks ago.  We had a great time.  We stayed with Melissa’s aunt and uncle, The Murphys.  We had a great time with them, especially when Uncle Dan told everyone at church that I was his grand-daughter and that Melissa, Jenny, and I were his daughters from his first, second, and third marriages! Ha!  Here are a couple of pictures from that trip.
